Council's budgeting process begins in October each year and it is the responsibility of Council to determine and approve the budget. The difference between what the Council plans to spend money on and its income is the amount of money which is raised by way of a 'precept'. A parish/town council's precept is the amount of money it receives from the Council tax payers of the parish/town which forms part of the total amount of Council Tax collected by the District Council (West Suffolk Council).  Click below to download the budget for the relevant year:
