Once a year the Town Mayor calls a meeting of the local electors for the Town - it is not a Council meeting but is instead an opportunity for residents not only to hear about the work of the Town Council but also to discuss any matters affecting the Town. Only those residents who are on the electoral roll are entitled to vote on proposals made at this meeting, so if you are not already registered to vote please do so online or contact West Suffolk Council's Electoral Services department.
The Town Council is obliged to consider the minutes aof the Annual Town meeting and in particular any resolutions made therein.
The next Annual Meeting of the Town is to be held on Wednesday 12 March 2025 at the Guildhall in Bury St Edmunds at 7pm, everyone is welcome and entry is on Guildhall Street,
