Wolf sculpture on Southgate Green roundabout

Council contributed £2,000 towards the joint funding (along with Bury in Bloom and other partners in the Town) of a sculpture of a wolf (shown below) guarding the crown of St Edmund located on the Southgate Green roundabout.

St Edmunds Fete - Sunday 14 August 2013

Sponsored jointly by Bury St Edmunds Town Council and St Edmundsbury Borough Council, this fete took place in the Abbey Gardens in August.  A fun day out for all the family, featuring 'The Bury Olympics', bonny baby competition, best dressed teddy, homemade fancy dress and 'Bury's Got Talent' competition.  There were also community stalls, children's funfair and workshops which included cupcake decorating, learn to knit and shield and crown making.
