St Nicholas Hospice shelving and drugs trolley

Councillors visited St Nicholas Hospice to see the new pharmacy style shelving and drugs trolleys funded by the grant of £3,000 from Bury St Edmunds Town Council.

Olympic Torch Relay

The crowds were entertained on Saturday 7 July 2012 whilst waiting for the torch to arrive on Angel Hill (sponsored by the Town Council in partnership with St Edmundsbury Borough Council).


Jubilee Fete

Sponsored by the Town Council in partnership with St Edmundsbury Borough Council, this 1950s style fete took place in the Abbey Gardens on Tuesday 5th June 2012.  Traditional fun, games and children's entertainment included an egg and spoon race, clowns, fairground rides and stalls and a 'bonny baby' competition.

Cemetery Gates

The pedestrian access gate to the Hospital Road access of the Bury St Edmunds cemetery has now been fully automated following a grant from the Bury St Edmunds Town Council of £5,000.


Bury In Bloom - Kings Road roundabout redevelopment

Council is pleased to have given £3,000 towards the redevelopment of the Kings Road roundabout which now has a new 4 metre tall metal sculpture of standing corn known as 'With the grain' (in homage to Bury St Edmunds' agricultural past) at its centre.
