The 'Dog-Friendly Bury St Edmunds' project launched on Monday 24 September 2018.
In the table below you will find the names of all the businesses and locations in Bury St Edmunds which have signed up as members of this scheme. Look out for the #dogfriendlybse paw print logo sticker in the window of premises which have declared themselves dog-friendly. The premises may also have a #dogfriendlybse water bowl for your doggy companion to quench its thirst. If the bowl needs refilling, or there is any other issue you are concerned about, please go into the premises and raise the matter with the person in charge there.
There is a 'Dog-Friendly Charter' which sets out the responsibilities of both the business owners and dog owners. This includes some safety guidance and it is important to note that business owners still have the right to refuse entry or ask someone to leave the premises if a dog is unruly, out of control or anti-social.
Want more details or to sign up? Contact the Town Council Offices or any of our partners - Camp Tails Doggy Daycare, Our Bury St Edmunds BID and Bury & Beyond.
It is possible that some parts of the premises, for example the café or restaurant, are not dog-friendly - if in doubt please check before taking your dog.
